DPM receives new Swiss Ambassador

Deputy PM Nguyễn Thiện Nhân warmly welcomed new Swiss Ambassador to Việt Nam Andrej Motyl in Hà Nội on November 9.

The Deputy PM hoped that the diplomat would make positive and practical contribution to the multifaceted ties between Việt Nam and the Switzerland.

Mr. Nhân expressed his pleasure at the fine developments of the bilateral ties, especially in the areas of economics, trade, investment, and education. However, the achievements are inappropriate with respective aspiration and potential, he added.

He recommended the Swiss sides continue to back Việt Nam to enhance its management capacity of macro-economy, finance, banking, poverty reduction, climate change adaptation, socio-economic development, and international economic integration.

The Vietnamese Government promises to create favorable conditions for Swiss corporations to do long-term business there, Mr. Nhân stressed.

For his part, Ambassador expressed his pleasure and honor to take over the mission in Việt Nam.

The new Ambassador pledged that he would do his utmost to cement and deepen the fine comprehensive ties between the two sides./.
