Ba Ria - Vung Tau second time received the Ho Chi Minh Medal
At 7:00 am today, at the Ba Ria Town’s stadium, the Provincial Party Committee, the provincial People"s Committee, the provincial People’s Council and the Provincial Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee solemnly celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau establishment (1991-2011).

In the atmosphere of the ceremony, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tuan Minh reviewed the development of the province after 20 years of establishment.

On behalf of the Party and State, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Politburo Member, Deputy Prime Minister delivered the speech to welcome the 20th anniversary of establishment of the province. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized that Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province had a long history of formation and development, with many different names. This was a rich land of cultural tradition, history and revolution, had an important strategic position in the struggle for national liberation in the past and national construction and protection of the country today.

After 20 years of reform and opening, Ba Ria - Vung Tau firmly asserted its position in the industrialization and modernization of the country. These basic results confirmed the capacity of management and combativeness of the Party Committees; The effectiveness and efficiency in management and administration of authorities as well as the consensus, the support of the provincial strata, which created a synergy of the great national unity. The significant achievements and great contributions to national construction and defense of the Party, army and people of Ba Ria - Vung Tau were acknowledged by the State, appreciated by many noble awards, titles.

Representing the Ba Ria - Vung Tau younger generation, Mr. Bui Chi Thanh, Secretary of the Provincial Group expressed the deep faith in the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People"s Council in the renovation and construction and social-economic development, political - defense security of the province; at the same time the younger generation of Ba Ria - Vung Tau promised to follow the elders’ traditions, always strive in training and education, work and dedication wholeheartedly for a prosperous and civilized Ba Ria - Vung Tau...

In the jubilant atmosphere of the ceremony, the Party, army and people of Ba Ria - Vung Tau were honored to receive the Ho Chi Minh Medal the second time awarded by the President on the achievements and great contributions to the national construction and defense.

The last part of the celebration, more than 1,200 people joined the parade with the theme "Ba Ria - Vung Tau is proud, firmly step up".
