PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has urged the diplomatic sector to deepen relations with traditional, major, strategic partners and to mobilize other countries to support Việt Nam’s legitimate stance.
The Government chief made the request on Wednesday at the on-going 27th diplomatic conference.
In term of external economic relations, the sector needs to develop an overall strategy for international economic integration right in the first quarter of 2012.
He also asked the sector to expand and diversify export, labor, and tourism markets and fight against protectionism while effectively mobilizing ODA and FDI capital for infrastructure and human resource development, climate change adaptation, and foreign investment in high-tech industries.
The citizen protection work should be further strengthened so that overseas Vietnamese people would play an active role in accelerating the relations between Việt Nam and the international community.
PM Dũng requested the diplomatic sector to pay due attention to the review of Việt Nam’s representative agencies abroad and the recruitment of competent and loyal cadres.
