Vietnam Navy receives 2 modern helicopters

Morning December 25, at Vung Tau Airport, the Vietnam Navy held the ceremony to receive two EC-225 helicopters and announced its decision to form an EC-225 helicopter squad, under the Navy Army Staff. Attending the ceremony were: Admiral Nguyen Van Hien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Defence, Navy Commander; Lieutenant General Tran Quang Khue, Deputy Chief of the Vietnamese People"s Army; Mr. Tran Minh Sanh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

The EC-225 choppers made in French, is a modern long-range passenger transport aircraft, maximum speed of 260km / h and flying range of 900 km. These helicopters are specifically designed for offshore patrol and search and suitable for rescue missions on sea.
