On Feb 22, 2012, the Provincial Science Committee chaired by Mr. Vuong Quang Can – Vice Director of department of Science and Technology organized a meeting to check and take over a theme: “Research on developing LE bamboo sprout production used as vegetable in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province” by author MSc. Mai Văn Trị (Research Centre for Fruit Tree in South-eastern region of Vietnam).

On Feb 22, 2012, the Provincial Science Committee chaired by Mr. Vuong Quang Can – Vice Director of department of Science and Technology organized a meeting to check and take over a theme: “Research on developing LE bamboo sprout production used as vegetable in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province” by author MSc. Mai Văn Trị (Research Centre for Fruit Tree in South-eastern region of Vietnam).

Previously, LE bamboo sprout grew commodiously on steep rocky mountain slopes in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province, including Dinh mountain, Thi Vai mountain, Minh Dam mountain, Nua mountain and Lon mountain. At present, however, for numerous reasons areas of growing LE bamboo sprout are deceasing significantly.

The main goal of the theme is to assess actual state of LE bamboo sprout distribution, study and propose technical solutions for maintaining, developing and improving efficiently LE bamboo sprout production in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.
