Vietnam – France seminar to discuss air quality and urban transport

A seminar titled “Air quality improvement and urban transport: Best practice and cooperative projects” will be held in Hanoi on March 21.
The seminar, held under the auspices of the French Embassy in Vietnam and the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment, will be an important event to promote environmental research and Vietnam-France cooperation in this area.

The seminar, held under the auspices of the French Embassy in Vietnam and the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment, will be an important event to promote environmental research and Vietnam-France cooperation in this area.
It will also offer a good opportunity for environmental experts to share information and experiences in issues related to the link between air quality and urban transport and discuss ways to improve the situation in the capital of Hanoi.

The one-day seminar will focus on public transport in Hanoi, describe the network of monitoring stations used in Hanoi; assess the present situation of air quality in Hanoi; describe the future metro network and its expected impact on road traffic; introduce modeling forecast air quality systems such as those installed in most major cities all over the world; explore funding possibilities for a modeling forecast air quality system for the city./.
