Recently, Mr. Tran Minh Sanh – Chairman of provincial People’s Committee has just worked with leaders of University of Social Science and Human Culture of HCM city regarding ideas for holding scientist seminar “Con Dao – 150 years of fighting, building and developing”.

At the working session, Ph.D Le Huu Phuoc – Deputy Principal of University of Social Science and Human Culture of HCM city presented aim, meaning and contain as well as predicted time of seminar. The contain of seminar focuses on foundation and consolidation of prison system during historical periods and its influence on the struggle of Con Dao prisoner toward national liberation movement; historic and historical-cultural value as well as social – economic development, national security of Con Dao in actual period of integration etc.

Mr. Tran Minh Sanh – Chairman of provincial People’s Committee appreciated idea of University of Social Science and Human Culture of HCM city. The seminar may take place at middle of August, which will begin activities to celebrate Con Dao receiving heroic title.
