With a purpose of operating a modern gas turbine repair center at Phu My Power Center (Tan Thanh district), the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and Alstom Group (France) signed an agreement on the establishment of Alstom - Phu My Energy Services Joint Venture in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province in the field of gas turbine equipment recovery. This is the first gas turbine repair center in Vietnam and also the first workshop of Alstom in Asia in this field. In addition, EVN and Alstom also set up training programs for EVN’s engineers coordinate in online monitoring technology for the power plant; offer solutions of fuel consumption reduction; improve efficiency of power plants and build a waste heat recycling program from industrial plants to generate electricity. The establishment of Alstom - Phu My Energy Services Joint Venture is the right direction in the conditions that the electricity market is increasingly competitive and demanding power systems and power plants that can operate more efficiently. The joint venture is currently completing the procedures to put into operation in the soonest time.
