At the conference "Application of science - technology and rationalization of production - improving operational efficiency and retrenchment in expenses of Vietsovpetro Joint Venture", VSP Deputy General Director for Science and Technology Nguyen Thuc Khang stated, “In the first six months of 2012, with the direction of the Board of Directors and the efforts made ​​by leaders of the member units and officers and employees, VSP retrenched the amount of VND730.7 billion, exceeding 122% over the year plan           
As planned, in 2012, VSP shall reduce VND604 billion of production costs. Specifically, focusing on three main solutions: Reduce costs from application of science and technology, administrative costs and save raw materials, energy; review reserved materials, give priority in use of inventory for production to minimize quantity of slow-moving inventory.
