On 4 October, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Department of Science & Technology organized a council to approve the unit and individuals to perform the subject “cultural & social changes in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province in the process of industrialization and modernization”. Two documents to be approved are of MA Hoang Huong (Officer of Vietnam Arts & Culture in Hochiminh City”, and Dr. .Le Thi Mai (Ton Duc Thang University).

In the process of industrialization and modernization, social and cultural changes of the people in the public are stronger and stronger. Ba Ria-Vung Tau province is not an exception, economic and social development changes culture of people deeply. Therefore, researching social and cultural changes in the integration time is an urgent must. Then, it helps to evaluate current status and impacts of market economy on all aspects of society.

Correspondingly, a new cultural life will be built in Ba Ria – Vung Tau according to industrialization and modernization, and in conformity with tradition and cultural characters of Vietnam. It helps to uphold strengths and overcome negative impacts. It orients to build a Ba Ria-Vung Tau with economic development in harmony with cultural values.

The council listened ideas of critics, and finally approved the subject of MA Hoang Huong, Vietnam Arts & Culture Sub-Institute in Hochiminh City.
