On 5/10, the provincial Department of Science and Technology held a council approved the Project ‘Model management construction – the treatment of hypertension in adults at the health facilities in Xuyen Moc District’ by Dr. CKII Ho Van Hai (Project Manager).

Increased blood pressure (hypertension) in our country is faster and faster. However, the rate of people with hypertension are treated properly is very low. With a current population of about 87 millions, Vietnam is estimated that about 7.3 million people with hypertension and without preventive measures, effective management. By 2025 there will be about 11 million people in Vietnam be under hypertension. If hypertension is not treated properly and fully, there will be a lot of serious complications and even be fatal or leave sequences affecting the health of the patient labor and become a burden heavy for the family and society.

Dr.CKII Ho Van Hai stressed that, the project focused on the role of commune health stations in the management and hypertension treatment. Create favorable conditions for patients in transportation at hometown, which gives patients better treatment. Research results will be applied to the implementation of management models appropriate for treatment of hypertension in the districts in the province of Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

The Council agreed to implement unified theme and renamed the topic into "Effects of model management – the treatment of hypertension in adults in medical stations in communes and hamlets of Xuyen Moc District".
