In the morning on 20 December 2012, the handing-over ceremony of seashore scour prevention pilot model by Stabiplage soft technology in Loc An, Dat Do district in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province, presided over by Mr. Vuong Quang Can – Deputy Director of Department of Science & Technology and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dung – Chairman of People ‘s committee of Dat Do district.

Construction investment project for seashore scour prevention pilot model by Stabiplage soft technology in Loc An, Dat Do district has been put into use from 15 November 2011 from coordination by Department of Science & Technology and Espace Pur company (Republic of France) and up to now, the work has met given targets. Seashore scour phenomenon has been prevented; Especially, in Loc An 2 region, seashores has been recreated, downsand in seashore is improving and being higher.

At present, in Loc An 2 region, sand was filled up and thick almost in Stabiplage work. According to primary accounting, seashore has been built-up meters and sand hill range running along 900m length has been protected, improved and being higher about 2 m in comparison with time before project commence.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dung – Chairman of People ‘s committee of Dat Do district made statement in signature ceremony that: In previous time, when the project has not launched in Loc An coastal region, scour phenomenon there was seriously, especially in storm flood-tide time. At that time, district had to mobile big human forces to use sandbags that is hard, but efficiency is not as expected and people life is effected a lot. When construction investment project for seashore scour prevention pilot model by Stabiplage soft technology in Loc An, Dat Do district has been put into use, Loc An has improved much in seashore scour. In rain, storm and tide seasons, people feel secure and are not afraid of sour situation as before. It is happy news for local people and people always join force with authority to help the project working well and improved more.

Along about 1.500m seashore length, including Loc An 1 to Loc An 2, uninterrupted seashore with sand hill range has created to support for tourism development and socio-economic targets. Besides, creation of seashore and sand hill together with ponds, lagoon on land help Loc An costal region to be more valuable and become intermediate region to protect shore to contribute to sustainable development of local.
