On the afternoon of 09 April, PPC conference comments on the draft action plan for the implementation of Resolution No. 20 - NQ / TW 6 of the Central Conference, XI on development of science and technology for the industrialization and modernization in the context of market-oriented economic socialism and international integration, with 7 major tasks.

According to the draft, including seven major tasks: 1- Strengthening the leadership of the party committee, the management authorities for the development of science and technology in the province; 2- Promote propaganda, raise social awareness about the role of science and technology; 3- Continue innovation powerful, synchronous in management mechanism, organization, scientific activities and technology 4- Invest infrastructure, equipment to improve and strengthen scientific and technological potential of the province; 5-Orient, missions and measures to develop science and technology of key sectors, fields; 6- Develop scientific and technological market; 7- Domestic and overseas cooperation on science and technology.

At the conference, the Department of Science and Technology reported on the status of development of science and technology since the establishment of this province until present and to draft an action plan to develop science and technology 2013-2020 phase of Ba Ria - Vung Tau. According to the report, in recent time, the science and technology has organized 300 implementation topics, the project all over the field. Many topics, research project contributes to the policy planning, policy, the plan for socio-economic development of the province and is applied in real life, contribute to improving productivity, quality of goods and services, promote economic development, improve the physical life of the spirit of the people.

The draft plan of action for the development of science and technology within 2013-2020 determined in Ba Ria-Vung Tau will take science and technology as an important driving force for the development of productive forces, improve productivity, quality, effectiveness and competitiveness of economy; protect environment, guarantee defense, security, associated with the sustainable development of the province, contributing to build Ba Ria-Vung Tau province into industrial and ports province under direction of modernization according to spirit of Resolution of provincial Representatives Conference  the 5th time.
