Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between Center for Vietnam Science and Technology Internationalization Promotion and University of South Australia

The Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Center for Vietnam Science and Technology Internationalization Promotion (VISTIP) and the University of South Australia (UniSA) was held on the November 5th, 2013 at the Headquarter of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam. This MOU shows the common interests of both organizations which support their mutual benefits in fields of high level science research, technology transfer/commercialization and educational capacitiy development in Vietnam.

The Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Center for Vietnam Science and Technology Internationalization Promotion (VISTIP) and the University of South Australia (UniSA) was held on the November 5th, 2013 at the Headquarter of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam. This MOU shows the common interests of both organizations which support their mutual benefits in fields of high level science research, technology transfer/commercialization and educational capacitiy development in Vietnam.

The Ceremony was witnessed by H.E, Mr. Nguyen Quan, Vietnam’s Minister of Science and Technology (MOST), and H.E, Mr. Hugh Borrowman- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Vietnam together with many high-ranking officials from Ministry of Science and Technology, Australia Embassy in Ha Noi, Viettel and VNPT Groups and VISTIP’s staff. Mr. Bui Quy Long – Director, on behalf of VISTIP and Mr. Nigel Relph - Vice President of International & Advancement on behalf of UniSA signed the MOU .

The MOU has set forth the collaboration content and scope of among the VISTIP and UniSA in terms of science and technology in both Vietnam and Australia. Through this MOU, VISTIP and UniSA would pursue many significant activities such as training and exchange of staffs in academic and research institutes; performing join research projects; Joint-organized events; publications and other activities.

The signing of this MOU is one of the activities to implement the Agreement on Science and Technology Cooperation signed by Mr. Nguyen Quan,Minister of Science and Technology, on behalf of Vietnamese Government and Mr. Don Farrell, Minister of Science and Research, on behalf of Australian Government in June 2013 in Canberra.
