On June 6, Department of Science & Technology Baria – Vungtau Province inspected the project of Provincial Center for Application of Technology and Science Improvement named “Build the model to improve countryside sanitation environment in Lang Dai commune, Dat Do district, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province” headed by Mr. Trinh Thanh Hung. Mr.Mai Thanh Quang – Director of the Department is chairman of inspection council.
On June 6, Department of Science & Technology Baria – Vungtau Province inspected the project of Provincial Center for Application of Technology and Science Improvement named “Build the model to improve countryside sanitation environment in Lang Dai commune, Dat Do district, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province” headed by Mr. Trinh Thanh Hung. Mr.Mai Thanh Quang – Director of the Department is chairman of inspection council.
The target of the project is to meet the demand on using
clean water of community fully, stably and support the community to use
agricultural waste as organic fertilizer effectively, enhance awareness of the
people on using clean water and sanitation works and manage treatment of argricultural
waste processing. Besides, the project also is to raise number of households using
processed clean water, number of households processing environment pollution by
treatment of agricultural waste, which is gradually to build stable and new
countryside in Lang Dai commune, Dat Do district, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. The
project was carried out from July 2013 to December 2013, its expenditure is
225,000,000 VND.
Households taking part in the model were happy because it
is concerned and invested by the State. In addition, local people in Lang Dai
commune are spreaded with scientific and technological knowledge in oder to access
technology of microbial organic compost tempering, well water treatment for
domestic application in production and life. The lives of local households are
better: Ten households are successful in tempering microbial organic compost
for production with the scale of 01 ton fertilizer/household. Five
households participating in the model of well water treatment have been used
clean water with the capacity of 06 m3/day and night to use for daily activities
contributing to reduce skin infection disease. .
The project has helped to reduce production costs for the
local farmers. Averagely, each household saves 2,000,000 VND to 2,500,000 VND
over 01 ton of micro-organism compost. In addition to less cost, making use of
reject source and waste during the process of farming and animal husbandry, limitting
the lowest scale of spreading disease source, protecting healthy environment. Farmers
make use of
manure,
plant residues source, agricultural byproducts and continue to invest and multiplying actively to the model of
microorganism compost tempering to serve agricultural farming among households
minimizing use of chemical fertilizers. The majority of households
participating in the model are equally excited after joining.
Inspection council highly appreciated result of the project applied in Lang Dai commune. The project has positive effect on the economy of local people bringing real improvement for environment as well as social-economic effects of Lang Dai commune. The project is inspected and ranked at fair level.
