On June 13, 2014, Department of Science and Technology Baria – Vungtau Province held a council meeting to approve project
for waste landfill construction after processing of Tan Thanh disposal plant, Bao
Ngoc Green Environment JSC (Tan Thanh District) as the investor. Mr.Nguyen Kim
Truong, Deputy Director of Department of Science and Technology as chairman of Verification
Board.
Objective of project is to research
and complete result of treatment technology in Tan Thanh Waste Treatment Plant
by treating remaining waste of the plant through sanitary landfill. Propose
technical process and solutions to build sanitary solid waste landfill,
calculate finance, economy in conformity with natural and social conditions of
the local, ensure feasibility of general
investment plan in treating solid waste of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province; contribute
to build clean, green environment to attract more local and abroad investors. Time is expected to implement the
project within 50 years, in a area of 10 hectares, designed according to
landfill yard 50 tons/day belonging to Toc Tien Concentration Waste Treatment
Yard, Toc Tien commune, Tan Thanh district, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. Total
investment estimated is over 65 billion VND.
Project
will be of great significance in economy as well as the province's environment,
its application of advanced waste treatment solutions to improve the
environment and ecology of areas around, reducing risk of diseases for local
people. In social espect, project is to create landscaping environment to
prevent diseases generated due to garbage and waste, simultaneously helps
people be aware and follow up urban civilized lifestyle.
The Council agreed to approve
project, however requires its owner to add and edit some contents for higher
result, as regulations are appropriately arranged, need to get new regulations
to replace the old ones; add the design of project building constructions.
