On 15/7, 2014
Department of Science and Technology Baria – Vung Tau organized project acceptance
"Replicate model of scientific, technological and electronic information
for agricultural and rural development" by BA. Nguyen Van Quang (Centre
for Informatics, Science and Technology Information) as chairman.
Project is to apply and integrate
IT-communication to provide information of science and technology at commune
levels to serve socio-economic development contributing to improve people's Intellectual
level, hunger
elimination and poverty reduction, improve quality of spiritual and material
life for farmers. Contribute to implement policies of the Party and State for
socio- economic development in rural areas, contributing to serve economic
restructuring in communes.
Creating a bridge between scientists with
citizens, contributing to accelerate application of scientific and
technological achievements in production, increase productivity in
manufacturing. After 18 months of implementation, project has achieved its objectives,
5 set contents as: surveying, position modeling; organization of 12 training
courses, training and installation of equipment systems, network integration and
test for 12 stations, check and support technology transfer to these stations.
Result of project has helped people in rural
areas get access to IT and communication, be confident and believe in
guidelines and policies of the Party and State. Information is used as an
economic factor to create wealth and welfare. Promote roles and effects of
scientific and technological information in enhancing people's
Intellectual level and quality of spiritual and material life.
Create equality between rural and urban areas in
accessing, using information and knowledge for development. Form learning
society, contributing to complete objectives of Program "Agriculture,
rural areas and farmers" of the province. Contribute to raising awareness
of local people in application of scientific and technological advances in
production.
Acceptance Council highly appreciated
project achievements, bringing about high economic and social efficiency for
rural people, especially people in remote areas. Project was graded fairly by
the Council.
