Report on cultivation techniques, sustainable tangerines care

On 4th September, 2014 Centre of Informatics, Science and Technology information under Ba Ria - Vung Tau Department of Science and Technology held a thematic report on " cultivation techniques, sustainable tangerines care" presented by Dr.Nguyen Dang Nghia, Director of Research Center for Southern Soils, Fertilizers & Environment. The thematic reports attracted more than 150 participants who are farmers from Xuyen Moc district.

On 4th September, 2014 Centre of Informatics, Science and Technology information under Ba Ria - Vung Tau Department of Science and Technology held a thematic report on " cultivation techniques, sustainable tangerines care" presented by Dr.Nguyen Dang Nghia, Director of Research Center for Southern Soils, Fertilizers & Environment. The thematic reports attracted more than 150 participants who are farmers from Xuyen Moc district.

In the report, Dr.Nguyen Dang Nghia provided farmers with farming techniques, sustainable tangerines care such as seed selection, way of soil preparation, way of digging holes for planting, windbreaks planting, distance of suitable planting etc. in addition, the care techniques such as fertilizing, watering, pruning, pest and disease, the drugs used to prevent pests and diseases ... also introduced to farmers by Dr. Nguyen Dang Nghia.

 

According to Dr.Nguyen Dang Nghia, tangerines highly adapted to conditions in the southern region. After pepper, tangerines are considered adapting to the climate and soil in Xuyen Moc District, helping farmers to get high profits. Farmers had cut down many tangerines areas due to disease but this approach is not recommended. If you do not understand the process, from selecting ensure planting, pest control, plant it "cut planted chorus" is long lastsing. Farmers should take initiative from species selection, planting, fertilizing, pest control care etc. the tangerine tree becomes a strong line of Xuyen Moc district.
