On 10/9, 2014 Department of Science and
Technology Ba Ria – Vung Tau organized "Conference on Science and Technology programs supporting businesses to improve productivity and quality
of products, goods in Ba Ria - Vung Tau within period of 2014-2020" in
provincial Conference Center. Attendees were Mr. Ho Van Nien, Vice Chairman of
Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, Tran Xuan Dich - Deputy Director of NATIONAL AGENCY
FOR TECHNOLOGY ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND COMMERCIALIZATION (NATEC), Mr. Le Minh
Khanh - Deputy Director of National Agency
for Southern Affairs. Mr. Mai Thanh Quang – Director of Department of Science & Technology
Ba Ria-Vung Tau. Participants also include about 200 representatives of units,
enterprises, departments, sectors, localities in the province.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Mai Thanh Quang
- Director of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Department
of Science and Technology said enterprise support policies to strengthen
technologyl innovation has been carried out since 2001;. To be advised Department
of Science and Technology by 2006, Provincial People's Committee issued into
official program named science and technology program to
support enterprise;
In 2012, Provincial People's Committee continues
to approve project "Improving productivity and quality of products and
goods of small and medium enterprises in Ba Ria-Vung Tau during period of 2012-2015." Two above project
programs have been carried out up so far. With prior support policy at a low
level and then raise 100 million VND at maximum.
This support has risen to 300 million VND at
maximum for the last two years. During process of implementation, Provincial
People's Committee regularly reviews and evaluates effectiveness of programs, projects
to complement, enhance and adjust to meet the objectives of supporting
businesses in a practical way and more efficient. Recently following
instructions of provincial People's Committee, Department of Science and
Technology has re-evaluated, researched and advised Provincial People's Committee
to emerge 2 Programs into One.
In addition, Department of Science and
Technology Ba Ria-Vung Tau invites
NATIONAL AGENCY FOR TECHNOLOGY
ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND COMMERCIALIZATION (NATEC) to deploy information,
disseminate policies and relevant contents about types of science and
technology businesses. Conference will propagate, disseminate and discuss
together about contents such as a summary to review implementation of support
policies, science and technology enterprises in BR-VT for the last time;
disseminate procedures and document guidance enrolling to take part in
provincial Programs of science and technology supporting enterprise;
propaganda, popular organizations and businesses to know the policy and contents
related to types of science and technology enterprises to enhance productivity,
quality of products and goods of enterprises in the province.
At the conference, Mr. Ho Van Nien, Vice
Chairman of Ba Ria - Vung Tau People's Committee also said that Ba Ria-Vung Tau
implemented programs to support businesses since 2008; Scheme to improve
product quality and productivity, goods supporting for businesses. These
activities have contributed to resolve difficulties and obstacles for investors
and businesses; help businesses fully benefit from the state's policy, science
and technology applications in manufacturing and business.
However, to get access to and promote activities
for the benefits of preferentials supporting businesses is limited. Many enterprises
have not made aware of practical information to participants. Currently
provincial People's Commiittee consolidates support program to enterprises to
improve productivity and quality, project to improve productivity and product
quality, goods into science and technology program to help enterprises to
improve productivity and quality products, goods of the province in period of 2014-2020;
and increase level of support and assistance to improve procedures for
enterprises to approach program.
Science and technology program to help
enterprises to improve productivity and product quality 2014-2020 period with
supporting content such as building support, apply and maintain management system
and specific quality improvement tools and support to promote standardization and honor to support
businesses achieve National Quality Award. In the framework of the program
activity, level documentation supporting Lotus green label and logo program
addresses reliability of Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
To support development of intellectual property;
support science and technology programs to enterprises for cleaner production, environment
pollution reduction; support application of new energy, renewable energy and
energy saving; support technological innovation and equipments; support application
of information technology; comprehensively support for building and deploying
projects to improve productivity and quality of products of enterprises manufacturing major commodities in BR-VT.
According to reports, science and technology
programs supporting enterprises of Ba Ria - Vung Tau have been carried out for
151 projects with 6 billion VND since 2001; of which 86 projects have applied
advanced management system, 35 projects of technological innovation and
application of information technology, energy savings, 11 projects of cleaner
production and pollution treatment and 19 project of commodity trademark
registration.
From 2012-2014, support project for quality and
productivity after issuance has been deployed for 78 respectively times for enterprises
with a total cost of over 4.3 billion VND; businesses have been supported in training
cost and management systems, tools to improve productivity and quality, standard
conformity certification, National Quality Award, compresensive improvement of
productivity and quality.
At the conference, Mr. Mai Thanh Quang, Director
of Department of Science and Technology BR-VT answered questions and proposals
from participants in the program to help enterprises to improve productivity
and quality of products, goods Ba Ria - Vung Tau during period of 2014-2020. Participants
also discussed, exchanged, shared experience around this program.
