Japan's Izumiotsu cooperate in seaport with BR-VT

On the morning of 21 October, Mr. Ho Van Nien - Vice Chairman and representatives of departments and sectors had a meeting with the delegation of Izumiotsu’s authority, Osaka Prefecture, Japan led by Major Haruhiko Ito.

On the morning of 21 October, Mr. Ho Van Nien - Vice Chairman and representatives of departments and sectors had a meeting with the delegation of Izumiotsu’s authority, Osaka Prefecture, Japan led by Major Haruhiko Ito.

At the meeting, Mr. Ho Van Nien introduced the potentials of attracting investment in the province and further information, the economic development strategy in the forthcoming time, BR-VT focuses on economic sectors, essentially seaport, logistic services and supporting industries. Mr. Ho Van Nien stressed that BR-VT and Izumiotsu City were the two localities have many favourable similarities, such as economic geographical location, seaports, industrial development ... In recent years, identifying Japan is the strategic investor, BR-VT has a comprehensive preparation to create investment environment and attract Japanese investors, such as applying Japanese teaching program in high schools, provincial vocational training school; Japan Desk in BR-VT; intensive infrastructure investment in Da Bac and Phu My 3 industrial zones...

Mayor Haruhiko Ito says, “Izumiotsu City is now thriving the industries of textile and port operation, and expressed the desire to be signed the memorandum of on economic cooperation between BR-VT province and the government of Izumiotsu CIty, Osaka Prefecture with the aim of strengthening economic cooperation, especially in the field of ports, strengthen the friendship and mutual understanding”.

Mr. Ho Van Nien confirmed that after completion of the procedure, Vung Tau city would set a day for the signing ceremony of a memorandum of cooperation mentioned above of the two governments.
