On 21 November, 2014 Ba Ria-Vung Tau Department of Industry and Trade held conference “Guide law knowledge on electronic trade and declaration ceremony of electronic information gate on service trade and industry of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province”. Participants included Mr.Tran Huu Linh – Department Head of Vietnam e-Commerce and Information Technology Agency, Mr.Huynh Van Chinh – Deputy Director of Department of Industry and Trade; Mr.Nguyen Kim Truong – Deputy Director of Department of Science & Technology. Besides, there are representatives of authorities, departments, leaders of People’s Committee, economic departments of districts, cities in the province; representatives of enterprises, electronic trading floor as well as companies and individuals having electronic trade websites and newspaper and TV units in Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

Declaring at the opening, Mr. Huynh Van Chinh, Deputy Director of Department of Industry and Trade said that in order to continue broadcasting images, brand-name, introduce potentials and strengths of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province on media devices especially through Internet, besides attracting investment in and out of Vietnam, serving necessary demand of investment promotion units on support industry, extend tourism trade to other countries, Department of Industry and Trade has been permitted by People’s Committee to implement the project “Build common information gate on Trade, Service and Support Industry of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province”. This project includes: electronic trading floor, tourism service, logistics and support industry on Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. This is to connect provincial enterprises with companies in Vietnam. Besides, this is to attract investors in Vietnam and the world to Ba Ria-Vung Tau province to seek chances of investment and transaction through online service and trading information gate.

According to statistics of e-Commerce and Information Technology Agency – Ba Ria Vung Tau Department of Industry and Trade, currently there are about 3500 websites in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, in which there are about 1000 websites supplying Electronic Trade Service. Law in electronic trade is clear, however implementing regulations of law on electronic trade is not so good. It is because propaganda does not come to enterprises, and enterprises also do not care about electronic trade field.

At the ceremony of declaring electronic information, experts presented issues such as promoting law execution in electronic trade field; 8 secrets are selected for website names to build online brand-name; optimize electronic trade website on sales and marketing on Facebook etc.
