On 16 January, 2015 Department of Science & Technology Ba Ria – Vung Tau held its officials conference. Participants includes Nguyen Huu Kieu, standing member – Head of Party Executive Committee in authorities Ba Ria – Vung Tau, leaders and 90 government officials, labors of the Department.

At the conference, Department of Science & Technology summarized science and technology activities in 2014 and key missions in 2015. In 2014, the Department built 17 subjects/projects on scientific research and technology development submitted to People’s Committee to deploy in 2014; received managing 01 test production project from the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Check quality and products in Tet holiday 2014 at 53 installations; check quality of helmet at 28 installations in which there are 08 non-quality helmet trading installations; check measurement standard at 54 installations, check state on measurement and quality of oil and gas at 63 installations, take 22 samples RON 92, RON 95; oil DO 0,25% S, DO 0,05 S and these samples were sent for checking, now there isn’t result yet.

Hold deploying 03 rounds to 50 businesses in which there are 34 enterprises approved with total amount 3,244,650,000 VND. Support fees for enterprises achieving National Quality Award 2013, deploy National Quality Award in 2014 to 200 enterprises in the province in which 4 units nominated with this award. Guide 20 enterprises completing presentation for project to prepare holding Verification Council for implementation; extend contract for 2 units including Vung Tau Tourism JSC and Busadco to continue project in 2015.

Holding exhibition on technological and scientific achievements of the region on Vietnam Technology and Science Day 18 May, in which there is participation of technological and scientific enterprises, exhibited 12 goods rooms reaching technical and art quality. There are over 400 students and pupils of university and colleges attending and researching. For technology and science application, 04 projects on deploying and implementation in occupational plan 2013 were summarized; project was accepted and worked with households on collecting project expenses “Replicate model of indoor yen bird in Ba Ria-Vung Tau”; account the 3^rd period of project. “Replicate the result of IT Application subject to serve population management in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, support local public security in the project on maintaining equipment and software system operation. Complete and hand over administrative tool and website to introduce activities of Center for Monitoring and Environmental Analysis Ba Ria – Vung Tau; complete building and take administrative tool to Internet, website to introduce activities and online technological market of Center for Application of Technology and Science Progress; hand over products, accept and liquidate the construction contract documents of database to the Office of People’s Committee Ba Ria-Vung Tau…

In 2015, Department of Science & Technology continues to speed up technological and scientific activities. Total demand on expenses in 2015 is 109,653 million dong including scientific expenses 51,053 million dong up 25% compared with 2014; development investment capital 58,600 million dong; collecting career activity 2,460 million dong, up 23% compared with 2014.
