The Government leader lauded efforts of both sides in concluding the Viet Nam-RoK free trade agreement (FTA), creating a new driving force for bilateral ties, particularly those in economics, trade, investment and tourism.
He expressed his hope that the RoK would provide technical support to Viet Nam in the pact’s implementation and facilitate Viet Nam’s farm and fisheries products in the RoK market, contributing to narrowing the trade deficit gap between the two countries.
The Vietnamese Government attaches importance to deepening bilateral relations practically and effectively for both countries’ interests and development, PM Dung said.
He stressed that the pact’s conclusion is merely the first step and both sides should join hands sincerely to realize the pact effectively and smoothly.
He also asked for close coordination between the two countries to boost a project on building a technology incubator in Can Tho.
Yoon noted that the FTA, which was resulted from great efforts of the two negotiation delegations under close directions of the two Governments, was a milestone in the Viet Nam-RoK strategic partnership, opening new cooperation prospects and opportunities in bilateral ties.
He said that the pact has made bilateral relations more special, bringing interests and happiness to both countries’ people.
He also affirmed that the RoK would work closely with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and relevant agencies and ministries of Viet Nam to boost trade exchanges, especially Viet Nam’s farm products exported to the RoK, and realise the technology incubator project in Can Tho.
