2015 Intelectual property knowledge Competition in Ba Ria – Vung tau Province

On November 9th of 2015, in Ba Ria City, theCenter for Informatics & Science & Technology Information (Department of Science & Technology), in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province, organized2015 Intellectual property knowledge Competitionfor member Youth unions. The competition took places between 12 teams from Dat Do, Chau Duc, Tan Thanh, Long Dien,Ba Ria and Vung Tau district Youth union, business youth unions andSouthern Vietnam Maritime Safety Corporation Youth union.

The competition took places between 12 teams from Dat Do, Chau Duc, Tan Thanh, Long Dien,Ba Ria and Vung Tau district Youth union, business youth unions andSouthern Vietnam Maritime Safety Corporation Youth union.

The competition aimed to evaluate the Department’s project in disseminating intellectual property knowledge to young people in the province and communities in general. The knowledge to be tested includes these areas: copyright of literature, music and computer programs; patents; utility solutions; industrial designs; counterfeiting issues; geographical indications; trademarks; registration of intellectual property, government’s promotion in IP knowledge dissemination and enhancing awareness among public about IP protection.

After 5 rounds of the competitions, Long Dien team won the first prized, followed by Southern Vietnam Maritime Safety Corporation as the first runner-up and Vung Tau team as the second runner-up. The best state performance prize was awarded to Vung Tau team and the best quizzes performance prize was awarded to Long Dien team.
