55 solutions getting awarded at the Provincial Technical Innovation Contest 2014-2015

On the morning of November 13th, 2015, the Union of Scientific and Technological Associations, the Department of Science and Technology, the Confederation of Labour, the Youth Union of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (BR-VT) co-organized the Closing and Awarding Ceremony for the "Ba Ria – Vung Tau Technical Innovation Contest 2014-2015" and the “Teenagers Innovation Contest 2015". The Ceremony saw the presence of Mr. Le Thanh Dung - Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Pham Van Tan - Deputy Chairman of Vietnam Union of Scientific and Technological Associations and 250 contestants from two competitions.

On the morning of November 13th, 2015, the Union of Scientific and Technological Associations, the Department of Science and Technology, the Confederation of Labour, the Youth Union of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (BR-VT) co-organized the Closing and Awarding Ceremony for the "Ba Ria – Vung Tau Technical Innovation Contest 2014-2015" and the “Teenagers Innovation Contest 2015". The Ceremony saw the presence of Mr. Le Thanh Dung - Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Pham Van Tan - Deputy Chairman of Vietnam Union of Scientific and Technological Associations and 250 contestants from two competitions.

The provincial Technical Innovation Contest in 2014-2015 received 99 solutions in five sectors, including Information technology, Electronics and Telecommunications; Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Construction, and Transportation; Materials, Chemicals, and Energy; Agriculture & Fisheries, Resources and Environment; Medicine; Education. The Organizing Committee awarded a total of 6 first prizes for the following solutions: the "Vina Best Fit" software in processing data for oil rig construction, installation and in similar fields (Group authors: Nguyen Phi Hung and Ho Van Trung, from Petroleum Equipment Assembly & Metal Structure Joint Stock Company); The natural environment and Climate Change model in Kindergarten education (Author Nguyen Thi Phuong, from Anh Duong Kindergarten); Newborn baby cradle (Author Chau Thi Ngoc Huong, from Le Loi Hospital, Vung Tau City); Applying the new Tube cutting technique by Hydraulic cutting - diameter 168mm or 245mm  (Group authors: Le Quang Nhac, Emelianov lu.E, Nguyen Nhu Binh, from Drilling & Workover Division (DWD), a sub-division of JV Vietsovpetro); Applying CFL / AKK / KCL Glycol-base drilling fluid in well drilling at Vietsovpetro (authors Hoang Hong Linh, Nguyen Thanh Truong, Nguyen Xuan Quang, Bui Van Thom, from Drilling & Workover Division, a sub-division of JV Vietsovpetro); System of technological procedures in processing and interpretation of geophysical log data (authors Nguyen Thi Lien Thuy Duong Van Thang, Crown Vietnam, Tran Trong Luong and Nguyen Xuan Quang, Vietsovpetro Logging & Testing Division a sub-division of JV Vietsovpetro).

In addition, 10 second prizes, 15 third prizes and 24 consolation prizes were awarded to authors and groups. Among the winning solutions, the 16 first and second prize solutions were chosen to compete in the Third National Technical Innovation Contest in 2014-2015.

In the Teenagers Innovation Contest 2015", 25 out of 27 competing solutions were selected to award prizes for excellent models, including two second prizes (no first prize), six third prizes and 17 consolation prizes. Of all 27 competing solutions, 14 solutions are for primary education and 13 solutions are for secondary and high school education. The outstanding solutions had been submitted to compete in the National contest and won 2 consolation prizes.

According to the Organizing Committee, the winning solutions are highly innovative and have generated practical benefits to life and production and contribute effectively to the socio-economic development of the province. The organizing Committee will support authors to apply these new inventions and solutions for intellectual property rights.

At the closing ceremony, Deputy Chairman Le Thanh Dung highly appreciated the results the "Ba Ria – Vung Tau Technical Innovation Contest 2014-2015" and the “Teenagers Innovation Contest 2015". Through these contests, many technical innovations have been applied and proved their high efficiencies. The Deputy Chairman also expected that in the future, the government agencies at all levels of all sectors in Ba Ria – Vung Tau will actively participate in the innovation process in order to create a wide range of initiatives applied in life and production.

 At the ceremony, the provincial People’s Committee and the Organizing Committee awarded the prizes to the winners and Certificates of merit for the organizations that significantly contributed to the dissemination of information of the two contests.
