Windows Server 2016 – “Cloud-ready OS” for Hybrid Cloud

Windows Server 2016 is a “cloud-ready operation system” with ability to operate existing workloads while help businesses to access to new technology, and make it more efficient for cloud transition whenever they get ready.

Windows Server 2016 was forged in our own Azure datacenters, learning from the rigorous requirements of a global, public cloud, and includes software-defined capabilities that are fundamental to fast-paced cloud innovation. Windows Server 2016 also offers seamless portability across datacenter, private and public cloud environments via virtual machine and new container formats that can be reliably deployed wherever the business requires.

System Center 2016 – Approach to software-defined datacenter management

With the launch of System Center 2016, today we are expanding data center management capabilities, while streamlining performance and workflows. System Center 2016 also enables you to perform a rolling upgrade for cluster nodes without stopping workloads. For software-defined storage, you will find improved functionality to maintain desired end-to-end quality of service (QoS) and faster retrieval of data using storage tiers.

System Center 2016 delivers a simplified datacenter management experience to keep you in control of your IT—whether on-premises, in the cloud, or across platforms. It builds on the experience and depth of the previous versions and extends capabilities with Microsoft Operations Management Suite to give you visibility and control of data and applications that live across multiple systems from a single solution.

Windows Server 2016 and System Center2016 are reflecting Microsoft's continuous engagement in driving the development of hybrid cloud. As Microsoft's long-held view, hybrid cloud is a reality hybrid cloud is the reality for all enterprise customers, even those with the most ambitious cloud plans.

Some applications should and will move quickly to public cloud, while others face technological and regulatory obstacles. Regardless of where these applications run today or will run in the future, these solutions provide a rich and secure platform.

As organisations move to the cloud at their own pace, Microsoft solutions supports them through their transition, whether running traditional workloads, the latest cloud-native apps or both.

Data from Microsoft shows that 85 per cent of Fortune 500* enterprises are using the Microsoft Cloud today and that 82 per cent of enterprises already have a hybrid cloud strategy in place.
