On June 14^th, 2017, BR-VT Department of Science and Technology launched the 2017 Ba Ria- Vung Tau Startup Idea Competition at the Petrovietnam Manpower Training College. Attending the event were Mr. Mai Thanh Quang - Director of Department of Science and Technology, students and lecturers of the college.

At the conference, Mr. Phan Dinh Tuan Anh - Founder of Angel4us, an angel investor community and SME Mentoring initiative shared with students entrepreneurial mindset and startup path.Mr. Tuan Anh also shares stories well-known startups as well as his own experience with startups.

 Mr. Mai Thanh Quang presented the 2017 Ba Ria- Vung Tau Startup Idea Competition. The Competition is divided in two rounds with the final result announced in December. There will be up to 11 prizes awarded with the first prize at 50 million in cash. Teams will also receive support and additional prizes from the organizer and sponsors and will be selected to get funding from the local government startup support policy.
