The provincial conference on health science and technology is organized every 3 years

Recently, Dong Nai Department of Health held the 7th Science and Technology Conference of the health sector in 2019 at the Eros Palace Convention Center. More than 500 delegates, who are the experts, lecturers, nurses, doctors, and nurses from the provinces and cities in the eastern and southwestern regions, institutes, universities of medicine, vocational colleges, Departments of Health, provincial general hospitals, and pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies attended the conference. 

Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Phan Huy Anh Vu, Director of the provincial Department of Health said, in recent years the problems that are related to advanced medical techniques and modern science have always been paid attention to, invested in, and studied by agencies and organizations inside and outside the health sector all over the country.

This conference attracted the participation of 92 scientific reports, up by 14 reports compared to the previous conference. The organizers selected 67 outstanding reports to be presented at the conference. The reports focus on such specific areas as internal - pediatrics - infection (18 reports), surgery – obstetrics (15 reports), pharmacy – sub-clinical (13 reports), preventive medicine (11 reports), and nursing - infection control - training and management (10 reports).

In addition to the scientific reports of the province’s nurses and doctors, organizers received a lot of reports from the leading experts who are working in hospitals, and medical and pharmaceutical universities in Ho Chi Minh city and some hospitals in neighboring provinces. The outstanding projects are “The effects of pre-mixed insulin for the treatment of type-2 diabetes by Dr. and Doctor Phan Huu Hen, Deputy Head of Endocrinology Department of Cho Ray Hospital”; “Upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage - treatment and management of the risks of recurrent gastrointestinal bleeding by Assoc. Prof. Dr. and Doctor Bui Huu Hoang, Head of Internal Medicine Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Gastroenterology & Hepatology Association; updates on the Guideline Eau in the management of Luts treatment of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Le Chuyen, President of Urology and Kidney Association of Vietnam

It is known that the provincial scientific and technical conference is held every 3 years to gather and widely announce and share research results and practical applications in the health care and protection people in the fields of internal medicine - surgery - pharmacy - subclinical - preventive medicine - nursing - infection control - management and training in the period of 2017-2019.
