In the morning of September 9,
2021, the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City in
collaboration with the Global Young Vietnamese Intellectual Forum (The Ho Chi
Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee) held a live webina r"Digital
transformation contributes to market growth of enterprises after the pandemic”.
The webinar aims to contribute to providing information to support businesses on digital transformation solutions in the context of the current Covid-19 pandemic, inspiring and suggesting ideas for developing science and technology applications, serving digital transformation, innovation and startups; at the same time connecting technology supply - demand for digital transformation.
Speakers and presentations at the webinar included: "Introducing digital transformation consulting services for businesses" - presented by Mr. Vuong Quan Ngoc - FPT Digital; “The impact of the pandemic on customer’s consumption behavior – Case study from analogue to digital of the bank industry” – presented by Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen Ngoc – Citibanks; “Artificial intelligence – Breakthrough solution after the pandemic” - presented by Mr. Nguyen Tan Hung - FPT Smart Clouds; “Optimizing the productivity of healthcare workers during the epidemic season with artificial intelligence” – presented by Mr. Dinh Thanh Cong – Singapore Workforce Optimizer company; “Security of business data during digital transformation” – presented by Mr. Nguyen Hai Nam – FPT Smart Cloud.
According to Mr. Vuong Quan Ngoc, the Covid-19 pandemic has created a big change in the way companies do their business in all fields. The occupations that have accelerated digital transformation most significantly in response to the Covid-19 pandemic are technology, energy, healthcare, construction, and retail companies. The digital transformation focuses on improving operational capabilities, enhancing customer experience; improving the capacity of information system security. Currently, there are many general digital transformation trends such as optimal and continuous factory operation; super application for customer management; automatic and intelligent warehouse management, easily controlled by hand devices; employee engagement and experience, senior resources retention; multi-channel retailing experiences, especially online channels; suppliers and dealers connection in one system…
However, Mr. Ngoc said that digital transformation is not an easy task. About more than 70% of businesses meet with failure when implementing digital transformation. Digital transformation is a process, it should be based on a clear plan.
After the presentation of the reports, experts and businesses exchanged and discussed many contents such as the needs of digital transformation in businesses today; changes to adapt to the pandemic; solutions to raise awareness of digital transformation within businesses to build an effective digital transformation model in line with the changes of the market after the pandemic.
