Attending the ceremony, on behalf of the Department 's leaders, there were Mr. Tran Duy Tam Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Deputy Head of the Competition Organizing Committee and Mr. Truong Huu Chien - Deputy Director of Department of Information and Communications. On the side of the Contest Sponsor, there was Mr. Tran Thai Son, Director of Syenergy and Development Viet Company Limited. And representatives are leaders of departments, branches, provincial unions, universities, colleges, associations, start-up support organizations inside and outside the province.
The contest aims to find and develop technological and innovative solutions to enhance value and protect the environment, to solve problems in all stages of the supply chain from: Aquaculture, exploitation, preservation, processing to commercialization of seafood products and the ability to develop into products, start-up projects, widely applied to the market.
In the opening speech, Mr. Tran Duy Tam Thanh emphasized that this is a contest that will contribute to promoting the success and outstanding development of the Contest in the following years. In addition, he also hoped that the next year's contest will receive many cooperation and support of units so that many innovative applications and solutions can be successfully developed, bringing tangible impacts to the industry. After the contest, the Department of Science and Technology will continue to implement many programs and policies from the support of province so that potential solutions can continue to be supported and developed.
After two months of launching, the contest has received nearly 30 applications and projects from individuals and organizations from BR-VT province and other provinces and cities across the country. The organizers selected eight projects that have entered the final round.
As a result, the first prize was priced at 50 million VND belongs to the project "Automatic emergency warning devices, assisting in searching for fishing boats when in distress" of the author group Bui Minh Thao and Huynh Thi Phuong Dung (Ba Ria – Vung Tau College of Technology). 04 Potential prizes, each worth was priced 20 million VND belongs to the projects include "Wastewater treatment equipment - Microalgae for aquatic wastewater treatment" ( Danang University of Science and Technology, University of Languages and International Studies and National Economics University); “Rafts for raising seafood at sea with new materials - Composite)” (Minh Quang Company Limited); “Application of IoT solar thermal system for fish sauce processing” (Dang Dinh Minh, Ha Anh Town – Ha Tinh Province); "Solution to improve the efficiency of concentrated detection and forecasting of fish stocks using satellite technology combined with branch of tree in Vietnamese waters" (Zuniba Khanh Hoa Company).
