VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam will host the World Information Technology Forum 2009 in late August next year, announced the Ministry of Information and Communications.

VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam will host the World Information Technology Forum 2009 in late August next year, announced the Ministry of Information and Communications.

The three-day event themed “Information technology for sustainable development” will be attended by some 1,500 delegates from almost 100 countries and territories across the world, most of them leaders, scientists and experts in the IT area.
The forum is scheduled to include eight plenary meetings and 32 subject discussions, focusing on women’s role in IT development, policies and experience of some countries in the IT development and the state-enterprise IT cooperation model.
The biennial World IT Forum was first held in 2003 by the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) with the aims of promoting cooperation between countries in the IT area and assisting developing countries to apply IT into socio-economic areas.
