In the years of 2008-2009, the Sixth Technical and Scientific Festival of Creative Competition in Baria-Vungtau Province has been organized to step up creative labor movement, exploit and detect the creative potential of the masses, effectively apply technical resolutions into production and life, have a part in the provincial socio-economic development. Baria-Vungtau Newspaper reporter has had an interview with Mr. Truong Thanh Cong – Director of Science and Technology Department, Vice Organization Manager of the Competition about related contents.

* What expectations does The Organization Board have for the competition result this year?

- The Technical and Scientific Festival of Creative Competition of Baria-Vungtau Province has been organized every two years. This 2008-2009 festival of competition is the sixth. The Organization Board of the Competition Festival hopes to receive more solutions this year than in previous years, especially the solutions that directly have been used for production and life, have a part in creation driving force in order to speed up the production to develop and rise up the technical and scientific creative movement.

* In your opinion, what criteria do the solutions have to meet in order to get the technical and scientific initiative awards? Which criterion is the most important?

- Resolutions that take part in the Technical and Scientific Creative Competition shall have to be technical resolutions (instruments, machines, equipments, products, softwares, materials, technological process, technical measures…) which resolve the problems occurring in production and life and they must have 3 criteria: (1) newness and creativeness, (2) liability to put into practice and (3) socio-economic effectiveness. These criteria are equaled important. They are necessary and sufficient condition in order to be able to evaluate comprehensively a resolution.
