The PM highly appreciated results of negotiations between relevant agencies of the two countries, including a draft cooperative agreement on building Việt Nam’s first nuclear power plant. The document is expected to be signed during Việt Nam tour by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev slated for next month.

The PM thanked the Russian side for training technicians for the future plant, and building centers in charge of researching and applying atomic energy for peaceful purposes, and technical surveillance.

Mr. Sergei V. Kirienko pledged to  spare no effort to implement the nuclear power project on schedule.

He also briefed the PM about the project-related issues, including technology, fuel, waste disposal, security and safety.
