According to Mr. Tran Khanh Sinh – Director of Tan Cang Cai Mep port, its construction is being executed the 2nd phase with 600 meters quay which can received 2 ships (whose capacity is from 80.000 to 100.000 DWT) at the same time and 40 hectares container ground. The second phase of construction will be finished and run by Dec 2010.

In first 9 months of year, Tan Cang Cai Mep port welcomed 275 ships including 120 major ships and 154 transit ships from Vietnam to Phnom Penh and contrary. Commodities approved port in past 9 months gained 213.479 TEU, equivalent to 85,5% plan.
