Applying Information Technology into household management

From May 2010, BR-VT Police Department in charge of administrative management of social order of provincial police coordinate closely with Center for Application of Advanced Science and Technology to deploy the subject: “Applying Information Technology into household management of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province by provincial Police Department”. Up to now, the subject has been finished basically and it shall be pilot at Police Department in Ba Ria Town and Dat Do District.

Up to now, the subject has been finished basically and it shall be pilot at Police Department in Ba Ria Town and Dat Do District.

At present, all treatment processes, document achieves, statistics report making on household management of approximate 1 million people in the province are implement manually through books and documents. That work takes time and the accuracy is not high with many difficulties in management.

For the insufficiency in this archive, from 2003-2004, the police of Long Hai Town, Long Dien District has suggested Center for Application of Advanced Science and Technology to support the software for household management.  However, this software is also simply and it does not cover all population situation on the region and it is not suitable to availing residence law. This fact shows that applying Information Technology into household management is necessary demand, contributing to build the data basic on population, meeting the governmental management and plan polices related to population management exactly, adequately and scientifically.  

Researcher group also analyzed, evaluated and choose the technology to apply and build the security solution, technical infrastructure, connection link among Polices in communes, wards with Police is district, town and the Police Department in charge of administrative management of social order of provincial police (PC13), etc. In previous time, it needs 4 staffs and takes 30 days to list of voter supporting for selection in Long Hai town and now it only needs 1 staff to manage household with 8 hours.

Applying Information Technology into household management also helps Police Department updating population situation in the regions in quick time. Then, do statistic and searching list of people in military age, list of voter for election, list of people for making Identity Card, the children in age of the first class, women of child bearing age, etc. Besides, it also help department to renovate administration well in household management, shortening the check time and confirm household or land boundary planning according to population scale and occupation in separation process in the region. Up to now, Information Technology software into household management has been finished basically and in the plan, up to November 2010, it shall be pilot before spreading over the province.
