Vietnam - Hungary: Continuing to promote dynamic and efficient cooperation on Science and Technology

These were ideas shared by member of Vietnam – Hungary Division of Science and Technology Cooperation in the working session on February 22, 2012 at the office of Ministry of Science and Technology with the co-chair of two chairmen, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Le Dinh Tien and General Director of Hungary’s Science and Technique Cooperation and Consulting Cooperate Pados Laszlo.

Reviewing cooperation activities, the two parties together affirmed with efforts made by managers and scientists of the two parties, cooperation between Vietnam and Hungary have achieved encouraging results, contributing to joint cooperation between the two countries over the past time. Only in 3 years (2009-2011), the activity of exchanging experts was promoted with 23 Vietnamese scientist delegations to visit Hungary and 7 Hungarian scientist delegations to visit Vietnam and some co-implementing projects which have gained important achievements.

In the working session, the Co-chairman of the Division Pados Laszlo highly appreciated close, timely and effective cooperation with MOST’s leaders, two embassies together with staff of Department of International Cooperation under MOST for more than 15 years when he was the Chairman (1996-2012). He said that S&T cooperation between the two parties for the past 3 years was dynamic, effective and the important basis for the two parties to continue to promote cooperation for the period from 2012 to 2014. Delivering a speech in the working session and agreeing with reviews made by the Hungarian party, Co-chairman of the DivisionLe Dinh Tien proposed to add the coming cooperation direction of Vietnam – Hungary Division of S&T Cooperation, which is to encourage the participation of enterprises of the two parties in joint research projects. When the working session concluded, the two parties signed the Cooperation Minutes for the coming time.
