Russia’s Federation Council, or the upper house of the parliament, on July 9 approved the contents of a cooperation agreement between the country and Vietnam in exploring and using aerospace for peaceful purposes.

The document aims to create organisational and legal grounds as well as change a number of issues relating to the protection of intellectual property and information exchanges to boost bilateral cooperation in the field.

The shipment of cargo for outer space cooperation will be tax-free.

The same day, the council ratified a similar agreement with Nicaragua.
