429 projects honoured at Military Creative Youth Awards

The Ministry of National Defence organised a ceremony on June 11, to honour winners of the 24th Military Creative Youth Awards.

The ceremony was attended by Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Chairman of the General Department of Politics under the Vietnam People’s Army, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) Bui Quang Huy, and Members of the Party Central Committee, heads of units and functional agencies under the Ministry of National Defence, representatives of relevant ministries, departments and branches.

The 24th Military Creative Youth Awards received 795 entries from 42 participating units, an increase of 179 entries compared to the 23rd awards, with 777 entries meeting the set criteria.

The entries showed quality and effectiveness in various aspects, such as defence, security, and socio-economy, proposing many new technical solutions based on the application of digital technology, biotechnology, and new materials.

Some initiatives suggested solutions to enhance the training quality, combat readiness capability, and ideological and political education. In addition, the initiatives help foster the upgrade of weapons and equipment, healthcare quality, and environmental protection, among others.

The 24th Military Creative Youth Awards were presented to 429 entries, including 6 first, 94 second, 150 third, and 179 encouragement prizes.

In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to four groups, and Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of National Defense to 17 outstanding collectives.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of National Defence Phan Van Giang, praised the spirit of effort and efforts of the authors and the author collective; and highly appreciated the serious work and responsibility of the standing organisation for the awards, the members of the Council, and the specialised scientific councils.
