The training class was organized to implement the Science and Technology Market Development Program of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province according to Decision No. 1961/QD-UBND dated July 14, 2022 of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and Implement Plan No. 56/KH-SKHCN dated January 1, 2022 of the Department of Science and Technology on implementing the Science and Technology Market Development Program technology in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province until 2030.

Within the framework of the Science and Technology Market Development Program in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, the training class "Intellectual property management" aims to promote training, fostering and improving professional qualifications for intermediary organizations and state management staff about the importance of intellectual property management in organizations and businesses.

Accordingly, the training course takes place over 3 days (from November 4 - November 6, 2024), attracting more than 40 students from organizations, institutes, universities and colleges, scientific enterprises and units under the Department of Science and Technology attended.

At the training session, delegates heard Dr. Nguyen Van Truc - Director of Training and Support Center for Technology Commercialization  and Dr. Le Vu Toan - Main Lecturer of School of Economics - Hanoi University of Science and Technology disseminates content such as: management strategies, management risk management, establishing rights and registering for intellectual property protection,...; current legal regulations on intellectual property in Vietnam.

According to Dr. Le Vu Toan shared that intellectual property management is the owner's implementation of control measures over intellectual property to create, exploit, preserve, protect and develop the value of the property. Therefore, intellectual property management is urgent and especially important. Regarding intellectual property management measures, businesses and organizations need to clearly understand the rules, regulations, confidentiality provisions, and transfer of rights in intellectual product contracts. At the same time, it is also necessary to pay attention to establishing an intellectual property management system to be able to manage it more fully and reasonably.
