The Science Council of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province has recently reviewed the science feasibility study (FS) "developing and improving model of safety vegetables promotion, preliminary process, production and management in Phuoc Hai Commune, Tan Hai communes, Tan Thanh district in conformity with VietGAP standard (Good Agriculture practices of Vietnamese fresh fruits and vegetables producers)”.
The project is headed by Dr. Ngo Kieu Oanh - Director of the scientific information on radiation safety (under the Vietnamese Academy of Science and Technology) and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Head of the Phuoc Hai Cooperative as Joint Managers . After considering the FS , the Science Council of the province requested the heads of the project to limit the scope of the project from the 40ha down to 9ha of land for vegetables production in accordance with VietGAP standard. Simultaneously, to proper, supplement some more contents so that the project can achieve high results. The project will be implemented in 36 – month duration since approved date.
