On the date of March 3^rd, 2009, the Provincial Science Council has organized a conference to examine and receive the project: “Constructing an application model of technical progress in order to promote the potential and improve the agricultural production efficiency in a half-mountain half-plain area at Suoi Rao Commune, Chau Duc District”. The Project has been presided over by Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bach Tuyet, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department; South-East Fruit Research Centre (SEFRC) is the technology transfer organization.

During the time of 36 months, the group that carried out the project has completed its main results as following: conducting an investigation and constructing a model, offering some resolutions in order to improve the production efficiency of cashews, custard-apples, jack-fruits and planting herb for feedstuffs at Suoi Rao Commune; organizing 8 training courses for 240 participations of farming technique, production development, improving quality of crop plants; training 5 technicians of propagation and management fruit gardens… After the period of implementation, the model has been appraised highly by people in the commune and it can be extended in production, contributing to develop the household economy and local production.
