On the basis of the proposal of the Department of Planning and Investment, the provincial People"s Committee decided to set up the inspectorate to check the implementation of investment projects outside the fences of industrial zones in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.

Accordingly, the inspectorate consists of 15 members led by Mr. Dang Minh Thong - Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment. There are 42 domestic and foreign investment projects in the fields of housing, urban areas, schools, hospitals, waste treatment areas, shipyards and tourism which shall be investigated in this phase; of which Vung Tau City accounts for 12 projects, Xuyen Moc with 9 projects, Tan Thanh with 9 projects, Dat Do district makes up 5 projects, Ba Ria City with 4 projects and Long Dien district holds 3 projects. Most of these projects are slow as compared to the registered schedule of deployment. The inspectorate will review the progress and timely resolve problems of the investors; at the same time revoke the projects ‘investment licenses to investors who are incompetent to implement the projects.
