June 7th, 2013 Department of Science & Technology of Ba Ria-Vung Tau held Scientific Council to approve the subject “Confirming the right of directing the geography for Nhan Xuong Com Vang  Ba Ria-Vung Tau”. There are two documents to participate approval, group 1 includes Doctor. Bui Xuan Khoi (Center for Researching Southern East), Master Le Minh Chau (Center for Researching Land, Fertilite and South Environment) co-heading the project. Group including 2 men Mr. Nguyen Tien Bay and Mr. Vu Ngoc Dang (Rural Development Branch of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province) co-heading the project.

Nhan Xuong Com Vang grown on coastal land of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province has sweet paste and particular smell. Until now, thank to preponderant strengths on quality, type of this fruit gradually occupies market share in big supermarkets and restaurants. Mr. Hieu, header of Nhan Tam Relatives said, although in the supermarket, price of Nhan Xuong Com Vang grown in Ba Ria-Vung Tau higher than price of Nhan Xuong Com Vang grown in other provinces from 5,000 to 7,000 dong/kg but customers still like nhan xuong com vang BR-VT more any others.      

The reason why quality of Nhan Xuong Com Vang BR-VT is better than that in other places is  because apart from experiences of taking care “father did, kids do” of longan, this sand land is still rich in Kaly element and other trace subtances etc. That is important factor to make Nhan xuong com vang BR-VT delicious, sweet

with special fine yellow. In August 2012, race Nhan xuong com vang BR-VT was officially confirmed and recognized in the top 50 types of special and famous fruits in Vietnam. But according to warning of South Fruit Research Institute, since 2001, some Thailan businessmen coming to Vietnam bought Nhan Xuong Com Vang race with big amount and re-name it as Ping Pong lonhan. Like this, we are gradually losing precious sex and in danger of losing our brand-name unless its original name is protected; the causes come from no suitable management regime. Many organizations, individuals taking advantages of fame and brand-name of Nhan xuong com vang BR-VT. This reduces prestige and brand-name of Nhan xuong Com Vang BR-VT, causing damages to longan growers as well as consumers. 

To overcome such above status, which can have negative impacts on prestige, brand-name of Nhan xuong com vang BR-VT, confirming the right to direct geography for products Nhan xuong com vang BR-VT is extremely vital, contributing to create age & name and firm position of local Nhan xuong com vang on local market and foreign market,, promote competitive strengths and increase income for logan growers.
