Build, develop and promote collective mark for Hoa Long wine products
On 30th January 2015, Ba Ria Vung Tau Department of
Science & Technology held to select a project “Build, develop and promote
collective mark for Hoa Long wine products” headed by Dr.Dam Sao Mai (Institute of Biological
and Food Technology) and Mr.Duong Thanh Long (ALIAT LEGAL., Ltd).
Project purpose is to register and identify rights towards collective mark for Hoa Long wine products”
of Ba Ria city, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province; guarantee rights and legal benefits
for individuals, households cooking and developing Hoa Long wine products in
using collective mark, against the infringements of rights; Use intellectual
property tools to serve social and economic development; Contribute to improve
economic value for traditionally local alcohol products; Maintain product’s
reputation and improve people’s life. Time for subject implementation is from
February 2015 to October 2016. Projects
under the scheme “Build, develope and brand
for products, specialty goods of Ba
Ria-Vung Tau province in period of 2014-2020”, the project is implemented and
deployed based on regulations of intellectual property law and protection of
collective marks and real condition of locality and demand of alcohol
households, Hoa Long alcohol production and business bases in Ba Ria-Vung Tau
province. Result of basic survey of project chairmen, current alcohol output is
mainly produced in Hoa Long commune. The project focuses and develops collective mark for
alcohol products made in Hoa Long, Ba Ria city, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.
According to Selection Council, the project is very feasible
and will bring economic effects for local people. The council agreed to deploy
the project.
