From April 23 to April 25, the Center of Informatics, Science and Technology Information (Department of Science and Technology), coordinated by The Farmer Association of Chau Duc district held a thematic report on “New technologies for pepper production” for 260 farmers from Bau Chinh, Kim Long, Xa Bang and Lang Lon town (Chau Duc district).

During these workshops, M.Sc. Hoang Ngoc Hung from The Southern Center for Soil, Fertilizer and Environmental Research presented about modern pepper growing techniques such as characteristics of pepper and frequently threatened disease. Then farmers were given instructions on pest control and uses of fertilizers. Also, reporters gave farmers guidance on how to harvest, preserve and take care of pepper before and during rainy seasons and prevent diseases during rainy seasons.

This thematic report draw large interest from farmers. Many questions arising during these workshop about pepper diseases and how to effectively grow pepper were addressed to help farmers apply these new techniques to their farms.
