On May 31^st, The department of Science and Technology in collbration with the Department of Industry and Trade held a conference titled “Policies to support Ba Ria – Vung Tau businesses and supporting industry”.

On May 31^st, The department of Science and Technology in collbration with the Department of Industry and Trade held a conference titled “Policies to support Ba Ria – Vung Tau businesses and supporting industry”. The conference saw the presence of Mr. Mai Thanh Quang - Director of Department of Science and Technology, Mr. Nguyen Huu Hien - Deputy Director of the Department of Trade and Industry, Ms. Phan Thi Hong Lam - Deputy Director of Ba Ria – Vung Tau branch of the State Bank of Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Binh - Director of the National Technology Innovation Fund.

More than 200 people attended the event, including representatives from provincial departments, District People’s Committees and the National Technology Innovation Fund, representatives of businesss associations and companies in the province.

The purpose of the conference was to inform Ba Ria – Vung Tau companies about current government policies designed to support business and its application procedures. The policies introduced included the Business supporting Program in Science and Technology, loan programs for companies in supporting industries, funding and support mechanism of the National Technology Innovation Fund.

The conference saw an active discussion session with many concerns of business representatives being addressed.
