Vietnam - US: Developing the program on exchanging scientists, research activities in libraries (20/02/2012)

Ms. Rita Colwell, envoy of the US President in charge of Science and Technology (S&T) in South Asia and Southeast Asia said as above in the working session with Vietnam’s Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan on 07/02/2012 in Hanoi...during this visit to Vietnam, Ms. Riata Cowell together with the mission would come to Hồ Chí Minh City to visit some companies and find ways to strengthen activities of innovation and creation, development of technologies so that technologies from laboratories could manufacture specific products.

Vietnam to drum up love duets in France (16/01/2012)

Vietnam will organize an event with great fanfare to promote Vietnam’s Quan ho Bac Ninh (Bac Ninh love duets) in France from January 22 to February 22.
The program will introduce the traditional Vietnamese music genre recognized by UNESCO as an intangible world cultural heritage. There will be an exhibition at the Vietnamese Cultural Center in Paris featuring about 50 photos, items and movies and presentations about quan ho.

Vietnam, Germany set up strategic partnership (14/10/2011)

Vietnam and Germany formally established a strategic partnership on Tuesday, focusing on political relationship, trade and investment, legislation, education, and science and technology. The two countries decided to bring their bilateral relationship to a higher plane during the official visit to Vietnam by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who in formal talks with her Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Tan Dung in Hanoi pledged stronger backing for Vietnam.

Two central provinces get German funding for forest protection (05/09/2011)

The German Government and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) office in Germany have committed € 8.2 million (US $11.7 million) to enhance the protection of forests near the Việt Nam-Lao border area...  The project marks a milestone in the joint commitments made by the German, Vietnamese and Lao Governments to prevent the degradation of global biodiversity, said Project manager Nils Meyer.
