Delegation of Department of Science and Technology visited and exchanged cooperation with PetroVietnam University (PVU)

On February 23, the delegation of departments of BR-VT province chaired by the Department of Science and Technology had a meeting with PVU to discuss the proposed contents of cooperation. Attending the meeting was Mr. Pham Quang Nhat, Director of Department of Science and Technology; Mr. Phan Minh Quoc Binh, Rector of PVU and representatives of departments including Department o Home Affairs, Department of Construction, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Education and Training, Department of Science and Technology, Department Natural Resources and Environment.

Accordingly, the parties had an exchange and cooperation discussion on such topics as: research, application and transfer of science and technology, coordinating research to apply science and technology in production life; innovative start-ups; human resource training for BR-VT province; project of expanding and upgrading the PVU in BR-VT province and coordinating activities to promote the development of scientific and technological potential, domestic and international cooperation in science and technology in BR-VT.

At the meeting, Mr. Pham Quang Nhat shared information about the province's scientific research and innovation orientation to discuss research cooperation with the PVU.  In order to implement the policy and orientation of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province on promoting the application, development of science and technology, and innovation until 2025, with orientation to 2030, the Department of Science and Technology wishes to develop the  cooperation relationship with PVU and other units that are suitable to the needs of science, technology and innovation development of the province.

On the basis of information from the meeting, PVU will continue to research and consider resources and responsiveness for the cooperation process to exchange and discuss to reach an agreement on contents of cooperation with the Department of Science and Technology in the future.
