The Prime Minister on June 25 issued a decision on functions of the government’s web portal, defining it as a link of the e-administrative network of all levels of government.

The PM’s decision defined 19 points related to the portal’s functions, including the organisation, management and dissemination of the Government’s official information on internet.

The portal, Vietnam Government Web Portal (VGP), is run by the Government Office under the direct management of the Office’s Minister-Director.

Other information on the Government’s public services are also available.

The portal helps standardise national information resources on websites and portals into an unified information network on internet.

It has functions of organising online dialogue, exchange and other forms of communications between the Government, the PM, authorities of ministries, agencies, localities, relevant organisations, and the people.

It also receives denunciations, complaints and requests sent by organisations and individuals via the internet to the Government, the PM and the Government Office, and will transfer them to authorised agencies for handling in accordance with law.
