VietNamNet Bridge – Experts of the leading network security agency in Vietnam, BKIS, have warned that a new wave of hackers may appear in Vietnam, two years after many hackers were prosecuted.

Vu The Son, Chief of the Virus Department of BKIS Network Security Centre under Hanoi Polytechnic University, said there are signs showing hackers are resuming their activities in Vietnam.

On forums of hackers in Vietnam members have been exchanging information on how to hack gaps in computer systems and the Internet. This phenomenon is similar to two years ago when hackers had not yet been actively pursued.

The latest statistics by BIKS reveal that up to two-thirds of DNS (domain name system) servers in Vietnam which have been checked have DNS cache poisoning errors.

Of 474 DNS servers that used DNS gap-seeking software delivered by BIKS on July 25, two days after the DNS error was reported globally, up to 343 DNS servers were found with errors. “This rate is too high,” commented Son.

It is said that within 10 seconds, hackers can attack a server with a DNS error.
